I married my college sweetheart in February 1998 and I feel blessed every single day to have him in my life. We have 3 great kids – Emma, Josh and Allison who bring all SORTS of chaos and just LIFE into our lives.
A few tidbits:
I love chocolate to a fault, especially Dove chocolates. I’d be happy to catch a sunset at the beach every day. I love having my dog at my feet while I’m at my computer. I love PJ days with the kids and nothing to do. Diet coke is a major addiction for me. I’m a triathlete. I am not a GOOD triathlete – I’m not even half-good, but I do it anyway because it’s so much fun. I love to run. There’s really nothing better to reduce stress in life than a long, sweaty run while listening to Martina McBride on my iPod (sprinkled with some 80′s hair bands, a dash of rap and a tsp of alternative…I’m very diverse in my music choices) I love musicals, love the great friends and family that I have – I am very blessed. I love the Chicago Cubs, and football on Sundays. I love watching my daughter dance, my son laugh and my baby learning new things every day.
I have loved photography for as long as I can remember! I’ve shot everything from the 110 camera when I was 7, to the barely-functioning SLR from 1969 to my current, beloved DSLR of today. I love light. I love the way you can use the sun for very dramatic to very soft, etheral images…it’s kind of an obsession.
Having my own children has shown me how quickly the years go by and has pushed me to try to capture each age and stage in the most beautiful and authentic way. My goal in my imagery is to connect with each child and draw out their uniqueness – what is true for them at this moment in time. I really feel this is a gift the LORD has given me – to be able to create timeless, fun, REAL portraits of your little ones.
