Just a couple of months ago, my family and I were driving near some fields where horses were grazing. I mentioned to them how I’d LOVE to do a session that involved horses. I’ve always said, if I hadn’t met Dave, I probably should have looked for a rancher. I envy that life – seeing the sun rise and set every day, the beauty of horses grazing in the fields – - I really think I was supposed to be on a ranch in Montana somewhere…maybe someday, right?

Literally three days following that conversation, I received a phone call from this sweet lady, looking for maternity portraits. Not just *any* maternity portraits – but portraits with her beloved horse! I just about dropped the phone. So excited, thrilled that she chose me for these incredible portraits. I enjoyed learning about her horse – a champion jumper – and preparing for this session. I still have more to learn about equine portraits – I learned that they don’t like windy days, they really like treats and are kind of naughty like a puppy, I have to say – but in a very endearing way. I loved it. I’m thrilled with the results and would love to do more. I was absolutely in my elements out there – the sunrise, dew on the trees and this majestic horse. Such a treat to shoot this portrait session. Thank you for trusting me with these precious portraits for your family.
